When you think about a party at a friend’s house, you think of vibrancy, colour and fun – right? With that in mind, Lucas Catering approached us to assemble a brand design for print and web that would make their leads sit up and think, ‘this is the mood we want to achieve at our event.’ So we set to work.
As with many of our clients, Lucas Catering was focused on attracting new business through a symbiotic marketing mode of print and online. This meant bringing everything together, whilst sticking to what works best in both of those very different models. We set about building a brand that is focused on high-imagery and positive vibes – just the sort of thing to get someone in the mood to plan their event.
This was a fun?website to build. Combining easy transitions with bright colours, we knew from the outset that the initial reaction from users would need to be a positive one. Planning an event means you want everything to go off both without a hitch, and in a positive manner, so we combined optimal aesthetics in the photos with a clean layout. Not too many words, but with all the information needed. The home page is a personal favourite of ours!
As with the web design, it was important to convey the right atmosphere on?business cards and flyers?to Lucas Catering’s clientele. But unlike the website, you can’t have people scrolling, which meant we focused our efforts on providing a more balanced mix between imagery and information. A balance Lucas Catering found we got just right.
